RITTENHOUSE  | “L TEXTILE”

ART ALLIANCE.  Friday, Krista Butvydas Bard, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania, hosted the opening exhibition of “L TEXTILE” featuring for the first time in the United States the contemporary work of eight international award-winning Lithuanian textile artists.

Sure you might have to have the oratory skills of Demosthenes to pronounce the names of the Artists but the techniques are fantastic you must stop by for the exhibition of “L TEXTILE” .

Sabrina Gschwandtner’s “Sunshine and Shadow” is very intense you could spend hours trying to decipher  the tiny, incrementally changing images made out of 16mm strips of film that has been retrieved from educational documentaries.

THURSDAY.  Last night there was a sneak preview party of the new apartment building opening of the Pearl by Goldtex which is located in the character-rich Loft District neighborhood (315 N. 12th Street) and is easily walkable to all of the best places in town.  It has all the potential of being one of the hippest luxury apartment buildings in the Philadelphia area.
