CENTER CITY. Generating over $700,000 Saturday evening the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer (ALSF) hosted the Seventh Annual Lemon Ball, presented by Volvo & the Toys“R”Us Children’s Fund with support from CIGNA, at the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, 1201 Market Street.

The Lemon Ball was an evening of cocktails, dinner, raffle provided by Govberg Jewelers, silent and live auctions and entertainment bringing together supporters of the Foundation’s mission – a cure for all kids with cancer. Fantastic event for a very good cause.

But, perhaps the highlight of the night was the participation of our inspiring childhood cancer heroes. These children ranging in age from 3 to 22, provided guests with an up close and personal glimpse of the lives that they’re changing by supporting ALSF through events like The Lemon Ball. From acting as hosts during the silent auction to presenting honorees with their awards, to high-fiving bidders during the live auction – these kids personified their titles as heroes and demonstrated the impact that support of childhood cancer can have.
