Completion of landscape restoration project to be celebrated on Bastille Day.

THURSDAY, JULY 14, 2011  | AUGUSTE RODIN RESTORATION

Leaders of the city’s cultural and philanthropic communities celebrate the rejuvenation of the Rodin grounds and host tours of the courtyard and exterior gardens, which now enhance the entire block between 21st and 22nd Streets on the Parkway. The three-year collaborative project restores the site’s harmony of art and nature. Bastille Day was chosen for the unveiling to honor French sculptor Auguste Rodin, as well as Paul Cret and Jacques Gréber, original architects of the Rodin Museum and garden and the Parkway.

  1. Peace Brother, I enjoyed viewing your photos of the Rodin Museum opening. You really captured the event. I would like to get copies of photos # 62 & 63. Is that possible?
