Jul 26, 2011 40 Worst-Dressed Cities in America – Philadelphia #6

TUESDAY|   E. RITTENHOUSE SQUARE

Laughing out loud reading a BS article (The 40 Worst-Dressed Cities in America) in GQ magazine/comic book I wondered why writer Luke Zaleski even attempted to write one paragraph on Philadelphia style or if he ever visited the city of Brotherly Love.

Anyway, my street shoot today just so happens to cover “Philly Style” and aspiring actor David Alexander Jenkins was scheduled and happy to oblige and show that Philadelphia isn’t just town of fervent jersey wearing fans.

Maybe Luke Zaleski did visit the “Swagger Capitol” of the East coast but couldn’t even get on the “C” list of the Social Circles and ended up by the Foot ball stadium where he was right at home; he’s just being vindictive.

It’s a sad sign of the times where the news feed are the same: stereotypes, cheap controversy and a passing familiarity this GQ article is just a short-term boost for page views -Shock Media.  Philly is forever one of the nation’s flyest cities.

Philadelphia may be a little complacent but it has permanent potential with cutting edge fashion.  We’ve really got some Kool Kats here.
