NOVEMBER 12, 2011 | SATURDAY
Last night, Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 7:00 pm, Little Smiles Philadelphia and their Board of Directors hosted a black-tie gala at the Please Touch Museum at Memorial Hall in Fairmount Park to honor their “Stars” – children from Philadelphia regional hospitals, who are bravely fighting cancers and illnesses. The proceeds from the event, silent and live auctions will benefit Little Smiles Philadelphia.
The Stars Ball is a black tie (optional) gala that is modeled after the Oscars. The only difference is that the STARS are chronically and terminally ill children from the Philadelphia region. The “Stars” arrived in style via limo, walked the red carpet, signed autographs for their adoring fans, and received an Oscar-style trophy. Truly a magical evening designed to allow the kids to remember what it is to be a kid again if only for a moment.
The evening included Dinner, Open Bar, Dancing to a 12 piece band, Silent Auction, Raffles, and a Live Auction including artwork created by children from the local organizations we support. A great night! Little Smiles Philadelphia is a 501c3 non profit which strives to put smiles on the faces of children who reside in hospitals, hospices, and shelters in the Philadelphia region.
