On a dreary rainy morning (9:00 -11:00am) patrons and staff of the Philadelphia Museum of Art celebrated lighting the Great Stairs Hall with 90 Spruce trees, Holiday culinary treats, Hot chocolate, coffee, tea and Holiday hot jazz from Art After 5’s Drew Nugent.

The Great Stairs Hall and grand balcony are very distinctive and stunning you must go there and vibe, particularly on Fridays after 5:00pm (Art after 5), to check out the happenings. The balcony is adorned with rare seventeenth-century tapestries provides exquisite backdrops for photography and gives a great view for down below.

The 90 Spruce trees are not cut. Their roots are protected and they will be handed to the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society for planting throughout the city after the holidays.
