CENTER CITY | THE RACQUET CLUB OF PHILADELPHIA
WEDNESDAY EVENING. INSPIRING. Before the VIP Reception what I thought would be the “Normal” socializing, dinner and reading turned out to be short session of mentoring, life lessons and “How To’s” for the young student guests wanting to achieve and get ahead in the “business of food”.
Students from the Dorrance/ Hamilton Center For Culinary Enterprises were guests for the Evening at the Racquet Club of Philadelphia and had the opportunity to listen and interact with Celebrity Chef Marcus Samuelsson. Unlike a typical TV Celebrity Marcus was very down to earth with suggestions and direction for their career growth.
The Racquet Club of Philadelphia’s Executive Chef Brian Coseo and staff prepares a great Misr Wot (Ethiopian Lentil Soup) honoring Marcus’ Ethiopian And Swedish roots.

Marcus meets with 11 Philadelphia High school students from the School District Program at the Center for Culinary Enterprises. Their attendance at the event was made possible thanks to the generous support of IKEA and Mia and Brad Aronson.
