The Black-tie gala, in it’s 28th year, is the premier event for the renal physicians from the Delaware Valley. Each year the NKFDV selects a volunteer, physician, and/or corporation to honor those who have championed their mission and is dedicated to helping individuals with kidney disease. This year’s gala honored Bobby Rydell, Dr. Frank McCusker and Questcor.
Amazing, about a year ago, famed rock and roll singer Bobby Rydell was given less than six weeks to live without a kidney and liver transplant. He was lucky, blessed even, he got the transplants, recovered, and last night he turned the “House” out with his ballads.
