Mar 14, 2013 Norma Bessieres’ “Taming of the Stripes” exhibit


THURSDAY   |   LIBERTE’ LOUNGE AT THE SOFITEL

 
FRENCH QUARTER.   Last night at the Liberté Lounge was the opening reception of Norma Bessieres’ “Taming of the Stripes” exhibit.

Art is inspiring a funky foodie  |  Moorish culture arts dance troupe

Guests were entertained for the opening reception by the Moorish culture arts dance troupe which did a fantastic job energizing everyone with the rhythmic beats of Diembe and Kpanlogo drums and highly stylized African dance choreography.

Chef Jim Coleman and Liberté Lounge used the visually inspiring pieces to create a menu – departing from it’s French roots and serving an African influenced specialty menu for the unveiling.
