WEDNESDAY | OLDE CITY
SERRANO MEDIA TASTING. Last night at Serrano, 20 South Second Street, owner Donal McCoy, had a Special Media tasting for a select few and it wasn’t just a few hors oeuvres it was the full monte; a sit down dinner. Executive Chef Gina Rodriquez really lead the way in her selections and pairing of wines and food.

1st course (paired with Tariquet Classic, France). Steamed Mussels (Spring Tomato, White Wine, Herb Broth), Spring Flatbread (Handmade) and Watermelon Salad (Baby Spinach, Frisee, Sliced Watermelon, Bleu Cheese Vinigrette)
I never eat or drink when covering events but when Donal threw on the Irish charm and some drink (with mead, something hot and spicy) called “What’s in a Name?” I got comfortable by the end of the night I was full, singing and felt like doing a Irish Jeg down Second Street I really enjoyed the experience.
