VIP and Media Grand Opening Party for Wonderspaces

BODEGA BAR AND KITCHEN. Owners and brothers Alex and Stavros Vasiliadis had their grand opening VIP and media private launch party last night the new Bodega Bar and Kitchen in Midtown Village and Center City!

Guests got to experience “a tantalizing blend of Latin-inspired cuisine, unique hand-crafted cocktails, colorful original artwork and live upbeat music”; a real blast.

The Commonwealth Youth Choir @ The Kelly House


EAST FALLS.

THE KELLY HOUSE.  Starting off the holiday season, supporters of the Philadelphia arts community gathered to enjoy and perpetuate the sounds of the “Commonwealth Youth Choir” at the childhood home of Philadelphia’s royalty, the late and revered Princess Grace of Monaco.

Guests enjoyed a magnificent evening inside the storied East Falls childhood home of Philadelphia’s own Princess Grace of Monaco aka Grace Patricia Kelly.

Mezzo-soprano Marietta Simpson with members from the Commonwealth Youth Choir.

 

Guests, dressed in the glam styles of the 1940s, enjoyed an evening straight out of the Golden Age of old-Hollywood, complete with a musical salon featuring mezzo-soprano Marietta Simpson, specialty cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, spectacular auction items, raffle baskets, and live entertainment inside the private historical Kelly family home.

THURSDAY.  This years’ GPA World Heritage City Celebration featured a “Conversation with Vernon Odom”, retired journalist and honoree of the 2019 World Heritage City Celebration; it was edifying.

Odom worked for 6abc/WPVI-TV in Philadelphia for more than 40 years.

The business community got to “hear first-hand accounts from major news events, locally and around the world, including highlights from every presidential campaign since 1976, reports from Nelson Mandela’s release from prison, the fall of the Soviet empire in 1989, the release of U.S. hostages from Beirut in 1991, the Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings, the Los Angeles riots, and more”.
